I can't believe that I haven't done a blog post in over a week! To be completely honest with you all, I have just been plain busy! Work has been extremely hectic, I mean really, we are only taking 19 horses to Scottsdale! Yep, 19! It has been so crazy at work, that I am literally so exhausted when I get home. I sit down, ice my back and become a couch potato. But that's not all, in between being busy at work and working long days, I have had hockey games, chiro appointments, birthday lunches and dinners (today is my OH's birthday!) and I somehow have to add sleep in there too. Oh, but wait......
I leave for Scottsdale next week and I haven't even started packing yet! That is so unlike me. I love to be prepared! I usually start packing a couple weeks early for a trip of this length. But I have just not had the time. Although I did have my OH get my luggage down from the attic. That luggage is still sitting in my guest room.... empty. Oh dear. I need to get a couple loads of laundry done of summer clothes, like tank tops. I hear it may be in the 70's while I am there, and this girl will need her tank tops! And to top off the "I haven't even started packing yet", I have hockey games this Friday and Saturday, again! So my weekend will go like this:
Work Friday 8-4:30
Arrive home at 4:45
Shower and get ready for hockey game 5:00-6:00
Rush out the door at 6:00
Hockey starts at 7:35 and gets over around 10:00.
Go through the drive through of a fast food joint for some greasy food
Get home around 10:30-10:45 and eat
Hopefully get in bed by 11:30
Only to start the whole process over on Saturday. Superbowl is on Sunday, and since I am such a huge sports fan, especially football (and hockey) I never miss a Superbowl. We will be making Chili in the crock pot, and it will be a day of eating, drinking and screaming! GO PACKERS!
So I might have to get some packing done early Sunday. I don't know, I will just have to make it work!
The reason for this post is because I won't have time to post again (not like I have been posting much anyways!) before I head out for Scottsdale. So I am saying my goodbyes....a little early. But don't worry, since I finally know how to post by my phone, I will hopefully have time for a couple Scottsdale updates while I am there. If I remember how to post by my phone that is! It can be so complicated. Oh, how I dislike complicated things!
So farewell friends..... I hope you all have an enjoyable February!

Whew! You do have a busy week ahead of you before you leave. Sounds like a fun weekend, but wow...19 horses to travel with you to AZ. You are going to be crazy busy!
You might want to pack a couple sweaters and a jacket, though. We've been having a steep cold spell here in the SW. Ask Mikey. She said her pipes froze!
We didn't even get above zero today and it's -27 tonight. Too freaking cold!
Next week another storm is blowing in and I saw that Scottsdale's temps will only be in the upper 60's, warming into the 70's by next weekend.
Have a safe, and uneventful trip!

Wow - you sure do pack a lot of things in your days/weeks!
Enjoy the hockey and the superbowl. Go Packers??? (I don't watch football at all... :-)
Hope you have a safe ride down to Scottsdale - we've heard your wild trailering stories before, so I hope all goes well!
I also hope your back holds up and doesn't hurt too bad while you are driving/working!!
Have fun, take care of your back, remember to eat and enjoy the weather!!
Have a wonderful trip
I hope you get to take a breath soon, but don't stress out over trying to post in Scottsdale. If it's as busy as last year, you probably will just be looking for a few minutes here and there to eat and sleep. No need to pressure yourself into trying to squeeze in one more thing like blogging.
19 horses?! *faints*
Where do you get the energy!?!
Have a wonderful and WARM time in Scottsdale...I am already excited to hear all about it when you get back!! I hope your back is feeling better!
Good luck to you and your barn at Scottsdale!!!
Don't forget to give your back a rest when you can - sit!
Yep, that's busy. Have a good time and enjoy the sunshine!
You are the most busy person I know and you make me tired just to think about it. You take care of yourself and don't make yourself sick like you tend to do when you get too tired. Have a safe trip to Scotsdale and keep us posted.
Laura~ You crack me up!! The Packers are the Green Bay Packers, from the NFL, which is the National Football League! LOL!! They are in the Superbowl with the Pittsburgh Steelers!
19 horses, that's quite a string. Good luck to everyone. I sure wish I was going. I will be thinking of you down there out of this wet soup we call home. LOL
you work too hard paint girl! be careful and be safe. we will miss your posts.
Unfortunately, I'm not going to make it there this year. Disappointed. I have other commitments on those weekends. Hope you have good weather and a little free time. Best wishes to all the competitors and horses.
Be careful with your back and good luck with the drive. And do bring some warm clothes as was already said. My family in Tucson had frozen pipes too. And I was thinking of going there to warm up.
I probably won't see you before you leave! Have a great safe and fun trip! I can't wait to hear alllllll about it! ;-)
xo
PONY GIRL
At least you will have some warm weather on your skin! I hope you have a great visit and nothing happens to your feet! or back! I hope you see many cool sights and make many cool new friends. Or hey, even one new friend is a treasure. Safe travels, Paint Girrrrl, I will eagerly awaiting any updates your cell phone allows you to make! And Happy Birthday to your OH.
Wow sounds super busy! Should be a good time, but lots of work. I had to laugh at the superbowl comment too, we just came home on Monday and our plane left Dallas and I didnt even know the superbowl was going on and everyone on the plane asked if we were there to watch it, lol.
Whew, yea I can't imagine getting 19 horses ready! Anyway, have a safe trip! Glad you will be getting some sun!
