So, what has happened in the last year? Goodness, I don't even know where to start. After working for the same company for 18 years, that company went bankrupt, so I was unemployed for 4 months. I thoroughly enjoyed my time off and had a lot of time to blog! But seriously, I spent most of that time riding my horses. I did more trail riding last year then I have ever done before.

I also spent a lot of time doing training in my arena.

It was so nice to have a summer off and be able to spend a majority of it with my horses.

I was able to start the path of conquering my confidence issue with Fritzy. That path will continue this spring and summer. I have so much planned and I can't wait to see what the future holds for the two of us.

I spent a lot of quality time with my dogs, especially my socially anxious, insecure Aussie, Sadie, who made leaps and bounds in her aggression issues with my other Aussie, Bailey.

I endured some sad times too. I had to have one of my goats put down, but the hardest thing for me to endure was when I lost my angel kitty, Domino. He is always in my thoughts and I still look out the back door to see if he is there waiting to come in. I sometimes hear a meow that sounds like him and I will stop what I am doing and look around to see if it is him. I doubt I will ever stop looking for him.

I landed my dream job working with horses at an Arabian Horse breeding/training/showing facility. I never would have thought in a million years that I would be working with horses every day and getting paid to do what I love to do so much. After 18 years of misery at my last job, I am now happy about getting up and going to work. What could be better than that?

And if I had never started blogging, I would not have met Tracey from Mustang Diaries, and be given the chance to adopt a Mustang! Thank you Tracey for that "push" that I needed to finally realize another dream of mine, adopting and training my own Mustang! I mean, seriously, who can resist that cute little Mustang face? She is absolutely adorable and I can't wait to hit the trails with her!
So I will continue on with adventures of horses, dogs and farm life on this crazy, little farm we call the Painted Creek! Thank you all for following along with this blogging journey and I hope to have many more adventures to share (hopefully without the bumps, bruises and sadness)!!

You've had an eventful year with all of its up and downs. Beautiful pictures, nice critters. And to be able to get up in the morning and look forward to going to work!! Wow, I wish I knew what that felt like.
Wow. Amazing that it's been a year! I remember when you first started visiting me, but hadn't went public with your blog yet. I loved your comments and couldn't wait until your blog was open so I could visit you, too.
Thank you so much for sharing this last year with all of us. I've so enjoyed getting to know you through your blog and sharing your journey over the past year.

You know since I am a fairly late comer to your blog I was wondering what happened with your last job - now I know...
That's the thing with kitty's its not fair they are so sweet wonderful creatures but their time with us just seems so short. My hearts been broken many times and I too still look for kitties that because of the time that has gone by wouldn't be alive today...
(sigh...) we'll all be together again someday, I look forward to that...
Congratulations! See, I told you it would be great!
It's been so fun to read your blog this past year. You and your sis really do have a knack for keeping posts interesting and fun to read. I'm contemplating quitting/closing my blog right now because I don't think that many people read, if they do, they're not commenting! LOL! Congratulations! Wow, the pic with Brandy....I thought she had just jumped over that fence until I saw the lunge line faintly.
