Well I hope this works. I am attempting to do a post by my cell phone. I will make it a short update post for testing purposes.
My guest blogger, Pony Girl, did a post for me to say that I am computerless for the time being. Believe me when I say that it has been very difficult not having a computer!
The weather here last week was very snowy and extremely cold. The low was 5 degrees and maybe warmed up to a very muggy 18 degrees for a couple days. I still had to go to work and turn horses out. They can't just sit in their stalls and it made for a very cold and interesting time. The horses were happy to get out of their stalls, but due to the extreme cold they were full of it.
I had a good Thanksgiving. We had my OH's mom, stepdad, sister, brother-in-law and niece over to our house. Then it was back to work on Friday and Saturday with hockey games after work both those nights. It has been quite a whirlwhind the last few days. Things should mellow out for a little while.
I haven't even started Christmas shopping and my OH still needs to get my tree and Christmas decorations down from the attic.
I have gotten onto a couple blogs by my phone, but I can't seem to comment on them. I have a Blackberry Curve 8330 cell phone, so if anyone knows a trick to commenting by this phone, please share! I feel so bad not being able to visit all of you and this is really killing me not having a computer.
Hopefully I can get my neighbor over here to take a look at my computer...he is my technology geek and should hopefully tell me if I can save my computer, or if I will need to get a new one, hopefully not the latter. I won't be able to afford a new computer for awhile especially with the holidays here. But if I can get a post done here and there by my phone, that will be good. I just feel so bad for not being able to keep up on all of you!
Anyways, I hope all is well with everyone and I hope this post goes through!

Yeah! My post went through and hopefully my comment will too. I have always been able to comment on my own blog by my phone, but can't seem to comment on anyone else's blogs. Strange. I am just happy my post went through!
Great to hear from you. Sounds like you've been super busy, but I'm glad you had a wonderful Thanksgiving. Bummer about the computer and I hope you are able to get it fixed, but at least you've got that cool Blackberry to keep you connected.
And don't feel bad about not being prepared for Christmas. I've not gotten any shopping or decorating either. eeek!

Hope your computer is fixable. I'm not a fan of the internet on cell phones. Too labor intensive.
I just went through the same thing with my computer. Luckily my hard drive was still under warranty (something that NEVER happens to me) and I was able to get a free one. It was $50 to have everything done but of course I lost all of my pictures. The good thing is that I have a flickr account that is the size of Texas plus I had copied all of them to memory sticks. Sometimes it pays to think ahead! Good luck on getting yours back and working. Our family about went nuts w/o our computer!
Oh man, being without a computer kills me -- I guess you could say I've become a little dependent on it. It's 5am and I'm checking e-mail and blogs, does that tell you something? ha ha

I am glad you are up and running again - even if it is from phone.
Hope you all are thawing out there soon. The cold and snow does put you in the holiday spirit though!

I used to work with Blackberries all the time with my job, but never tried commenting on a post. You've probably tried this already, but dig through the Internet and web browser settings. Try turning different settings on and off. Enable javascript and anything else you can enable.
It took forever to get our phone/internet turned on at the new house (holiday weekend), so I can relate about missing the computer.
I could also get on and read a few blogs from my phone, but couldn't comment either. So I am of no help.
Looks like ya'll are going to get that nasty winter predicted huh?
I have no experience with Blackberries and such. If my computer went down I'd look at it as a vacation.
I have the same phone! (really want to upgrade to a bberry Torch though from what I've seen of them)
I think if you play with your settings (as mentioned by someone above)you should be able to comment. I know I did when I was waiting for my internet to be hooked up after the move. I did find it pretty slow and a bit of a PITA but it was doable. I think the only ones I couldn't comment on were the ones with word verification. Just make sure you're signed in. Oh and if it was a blog with a long post/lots of comments I couldn't always comment, I'd get a "page too big" error.
I'm impressed! Typing on a tiny little phone keyboard is hard.
Computers are so easy to love until they stop working and then you want to chuck them out the window! I haven't started my Christmas shopping either. But I have lots of good ideas. We better hurry! It is already December!
Glad the post worked!!! I sure hope it's warmed up a bit there by now!! Jeepers that's too cold!! I hate computer woes!! I just had to order me a new one cause mines about to croak and I can't afford to lose all of my photo editing software! So hopefully I'll be in full swing with the new one soon! And I hope yours is fixed ASAP!!
Oh, sorry about your computer, hope it can be fixed! I just had my hard drive go bad and had to replace it but it was still under warranty so that was good! Being without a computer, I would go nuts!!!
I don't have a smart phone so I know nothing about using the internet with a phone.
Cold, brrrrr, I am not a big fan of cold! It has turned cold here after lots and lots of warm weather so I am not liking it one bit!!!
Christmas shopping??? I have done not ONE thing or even gotten my cards to send out....really behind this year!

Hope your computer issues are fixable. I'm facing replacing mine soon and am not looking forward to it.
I'm just amazed you can do as much as you are doing on your phone. I'd be going through major withdrawal without a working computer. Hands shaking, short tempered -- I'm sure someone would donate one to me just to not have to deal with my nastiness. i hope you are doing okay with the cold weather. It can be hard on a body working in the cold.
