Too Cute Not To Share

As you all know, it is foaling season. And since I work for an Arabian breeding facility, we have 4 new foals on the ground! We had a colt born while we were in Scottsdale and another colt was born a week ago. Then yesterday we had 2 fillies born! I don't have pictures of them all. But I did happen to sneak out yesterday and take a picture with my cell phone of the newest member of our facility!

Please welcome the cutest filly ever!

She was only about 12 hours old in these photos. It was so fun to watch her try to get used to those long legs. She hadn't quite mastered laying down and she would spin in circles like a dog until she figured it out.

Then today I watched her fall over as she was trying to lay down. And once she fell down, she just laid there like it was what she was planning to do all along! I think her legs are just too long for her to manage! We have 3 more babies due. I am also hoping to get some pictures of the first colt that was born. He is the cutest colt ever!

Don't ya just love baby season?!

She'll be quite the flashy little showhorse with all that chrome, love how even it all is too!

Awww, she is so precious! Good thing human babies aren't expected to get up and walk on tall legs like baby horses. lol!
Speaking of legs, the filly's left ankle, right above the pastern looks swollen. Or is that just the angle?

You can bet I would be wanting to photograph all those foal's feet, too. Do you remember the Foal Slippers that I photographed when Yalla! was born? Fascinating stuff!

Enjoy all those beautiful babies.

Lisa~ The foals leg isn't swollen. I think it's just the picture but also the way she was resting her foot made it look that way. I looked at her the next day and it looked swollen when she was resting her leg but once she was standing with both legs flat, she looked fine!

Lytha~ I can't believe you know that mare! It's a secret and I know you won't tell!

Autumn Mist~ This foals daddy isn't from our farm. But we do have a few babies from our resident stallions!

Oh my goodness! So cute! I would love to work at a breeding farm so I could see all the babies but not have all the responsibility of raising them myself lol. :) Spring must be awesome where you work. :)

I love a baby animal! isn't it amazing how those foals are fully furred, alert and able to stand up and walk around when they are just a few hours old? Do you get to handle all the foals and kiss them? Sigh, I sure would like to have my horse have a little painted baby!
