Book Review

I was contacted by Ginger Nalley to do a book review. She sent me the website to the book she wanted me to review. At first I wasn't sure what to expect. But when the book arrived at my house and I opened up the package, I got really excited. The book was bigger then I anticipated and at first glance it looked like something I would thoroughly enjoy. I opened it up and browsed quickly through the pages. I then immediately sat down on my couch and started reading.

Before I tell you what I thought about the book, let me tell you what it is. The books titled "Tell Me About That Horse" and compiled, illustrated and photographed by Vaughn Wilson, with a forward by Nolan Ryan. Vaughn Wilson interviewed 39 horse owners to tell about their lives and their favorite horses. And these aren't just any 39 horse owners. They are actually very well known trainers and horsemen and women, like Trevor Brazile, Red Steagall, Clinton Anderson, Charlie Daniels, Lindy Burch, Orren Mixer, Chris Cox, John Lyons and many, many more. Each character story has an original oil portrait painting and photograph by Vaughn Wilson himself.

Once I started reading, I could not put the book down. I read it front to back in one sitting. The stories were fantastic and the photography and paintings just awesome. I found myself to be completely enthralled in this book. If you like to read true stories about people and their special horses, then this is the book for you! If you would like further information on Vaughn Wilson's "Tell Me About That Horse" please visit the website at: www.tellmeaboutthathorse.com.

I highly recommend this book. It definitely has a place on my coffee table for many, many years!!

I'll bet that John Lyons talked about Zip. I will never forget that horse and how trained he was.
