I can't even express how exhausted I am. I am literally so tired from everything that is going on right now that I can't even muster up enough energy to get on the computer. That's pretty sad. If only I could take a month long vacation from work and just get this whole remodel done. I feel like I am working 2 or 3 jobs right now. And to top it off, I can't find the USB cable to my camera to download pictures. I just now realized it was missing when I finally decided I needed to drag myself into the office and get a blog post done. Thought I would at least get the pictures downloaded, but it was obviously not meant to be.... I know it's gotta be somewhere in one of the pieces of luggage that I took on the Pony Cousin Stampede trip. And boy do I have a lot to tell you all about that trip! But that will have to wait for another day....sorry.
Since I have been back from the trip, we have been busy packing up the house. I feel like I am moving.....and I hate moving. Everything is getting packed, except for the clothes in the closets. It all has to go. Everything. The installation is starting on Sept. 6th. Right now all that remains in the office is my computer desk and computer. All that remains in the guest room is the guest bed.....not like I will be having company anytime soon. I only have a dining room table in the dining room. My garage is almost full..... and we haven't even started on the master bedroom.
The painting is completed in the kitchen, living room, dining room, hallway, laundry room and half bath. All that's left is the 3 bedrooms, which will be pretty simple, the closets and the pantry. We have been packing and painting for days. Is this over yet? I think we should have just hired someone to paint like we originally talked about. Oh well. We are 75% done now with the painting.
I do have to say that the cats have been real troopers during this whole remodeling project. I thought they would be really upset about the "destruction" that has taken place. Their litter boxes, cat food and water have been moved numerous times over the last couple weeks. It hasn't even phased them. I actually think they enjoy living in the chaos that has now consumed our lives and they are handling it better then us humans.
We still have a lot to do before the install date. We are going to get this painting done. I still need to pick out colors for the office and guest room..... I am almost there. The cool thing is that half the stuff we moved out of here, it is not going to make an appearance back into this house. We are downsizing and updating, and if that means that the house looks empty for awhile....so be it. We will buy new, updated items when we are able to financially. Although I am really excited to get my "new" office furniture in the house. It's been sitting in the shop for 2 years now. I have so many plans...................
Oh yeah, and I still need to unpack my horse trailer from my trip..........sigh.......

Yay for adaptable cats and I'm looking forward to the finished house ...like you are I'm sure!!!I have moved 5 times in the last 8 years and I know what its like to pack , and pack some more. The up side like you say is you get to down size the junk and sort of de -clutter
Cats are the best! :-) I hope your remodel continues along and everything gets finished soon so that you can have a well-deserved break!
Hope you find your usb cable so we can see some pictures!
We are doing about the same thing here, and my cats are NOT adaptable at all! They are still trying to jump onto furniture that isn't there any longer. Ah, it provides diversion from the chaos and endless work, anyway.
take your time girl! we will still be here when you have the energy!
I agree with fernvalley01 - take it easy. We'll be here when you FEEL like blogging again. Your plate is pretty darn full right now!!
Blessings ~
PS Gotta love those cats!
Wooweee!
I've always thought it laughable when those Designer/Decorator types encourage people to refresh their house by doing a "simple" weekend paint job. I don't know anyone that has been able to complete a painting job in just a weekend...except for professional painters. I'm with you, when it's time for me to refresh the house, I'm hiring someone. lol!
But seriously I have been waiting on the edge eof my seat for any updates on Pony Cousin Weekend. I'm glad I've not been holding my breath, or I would have already passed out and died. lol!
Adorable Madison photo. Makes me feel sleepy.

Yes, we did have an eventful cousin stampede, but I have to say, we were pretty laid back comparable to past events. At least my bra stayed in the suitcase! :-) Except when I was using it....
Anyone can feel free to jump over and read about my excitement of the weekend....
I'm sure when my remodeling cousin gets some time she will share things even I don't know about! :-) Those young cuzzettes always manage to stir up funnies of there own!
You are such a trooper! i would have committed myself to the funny farm with so long a reno, and ended up divorced. I kid you not, I do not like claos. The renovating we have done started fun and then after 4 weeks became so stressful that I wanted to axe murder someone. or cut my own legs off. Or something horrible. So I am sending you KUDOOS and CONGRATS! You are doing it! You are a champion fix it lady!!!!!! GO PAINT GIRRRL! GO KITTY CATS!!! GO OH!!!
Wow glad to hear the painting is almost done! I too hate moving, but the good part is the stuff that gets thrown out.
I too have been waiting for Pony Stampede pics, but I can still wait a little longer, gives me something to look forward to ;)
Oh dear, can't believe you are practically moving!! Wish I could see the mess. It will all be worth the hassle in the end, just in time for winter and football couch-time season! ;-)
It will be so worth it when it is done!!! Hang in there!!!!
At least you'll have a great outcome as a result of your busy, hectic life! Looking forward to seeing the final remodel pictures.
Can't wait to see it finished. We have a lot to do before my son's graduation next spring.... dread it!
Anxious to hear about your pony cousin weekend. We do a cowgirl weekend that is similar so I always enjoy reading about yours...
And yes, keep blogging. Can't wait to see what Chase becomes...
