I can't believe how fast the last 2 months have gone by. I swear I haven't gotten anything accomplished, but then again, I have, sorta. If you want to call the house remodel an accomplishment, it isn't even near being done. It's looking like the first week of September for the slate tile installation, which will take at least a week, then on to carpet and counters.
The last few days have kept me on the go, literally. Can you believe it is Pony Cousin Stampede time already? I can't! I haven't even been able to ride my horse, and so many other things have been going on that I feel like everything has been so rushed. I had lots to do over the last weekend getting ready for my trip. Here was my to do list:
*Wash and vacuum truck
*Empty old shavings out of my horse trailer and hose it out
*Add new shavings to horse trailer
*Get all horse stuff together and loaded in trailer
*Run errands
*Pack for myself, and as you all know, this girl packs a lot! You just never know what the weather could do around here and I have to be prepared for everything! Also gotta have the cute cowgirl clothes for our evening parties!
*Lots of laundry
*Load hay in truck
*Hook horse trailer up to truck
and on and on and on.......
That is just a brief explanation of what has been going on. It has taken me 3 days to get organized for this trip. But I am feeling good. It is almost done. All I have left to do is put ice in the cooler, load 2 more bags in the truck, load my horse and I will be on the road. Whew!
I am so excited. I look forward to this trip all year. As soon as it ends, I am ready to go back again. So I will be gone the rest of this week. I swear I am coming back to blogging again. My life has just been crazy right now. And I can't wait to share pictures of the Pony Cousin Stampede!

It seems like so many people are more busy than usual this summer. I can't figure out what changed so drastically. Maybe the crazy weather? I haven't even hitched up my trailer once this year and I am so bored with riding in circles in a ring!
I forget how far you have to travel for the stampede, or if your OH goes along. Can't wait to see all the pictures! Will you go horse camping? Barrel racing? ooh, I hope so. reading about it will be so much fun.
I know you will all have a blast. I sure hope it isn't as hot as it was last year! Have fun and take lots of pictures.
