I really would like to apologize for my lack of posting and visiting. I am so overwhelmed and busy at work right now, that I might not be around much in the next couple of weeks. I am working 45-50 hours a week right now, and when I get home, I am so exhausted that I can barely function. I pretty much just eat, relax for a little while, then go to bed, only to wake up a few short hours later to start another hectic work day. I don't even get to see my OH for more then half an hour a day, if at all.
I miss hugging my girl.
So I just need to take a breather. I will still post, but not very much. I will still come by to visit, but I may not comment.
I miss looking between these ears.

I am finding very little time to do anything. So many things that are being neglected: housework, playing with my dogs and cats, spending time with my horses, quality time with my OH, cooking dinner, computer time etc. I think the only thing that is getting done, is laundry! I am going through so many clothes, I feel like I have a construction job.
I miss my princess Sadie.

I think the next couple weeks are going to be even more hectic. The trainers are back, and I will have to get in a new routine. It will be like starting my job all over again.
She really is a princess!

But I feel that after a couple weeks, things will start to settle down. I will get into a groove and will be able to adjust to everything, plus I hear that we don't typically work this many hours. It has only been this way while the trainers were gone. Since the horses aren't being ridden, they have to get turned out. Once the trainers start riding again, than we have less horses that need to be turned out/longed.
One of my favorite stallions from the barn. Isn't he pretty?

I hope you all can bear with me while I adjust to this new job. I am hoping to be back in full force, before you even notice that I am not around so much! I really miss visiting with everyone and can't wait to get back to it!

Sometimes I feel like my job is taking all my energy and sucking the life out of me. It has been a year, and I am finally not so tired. Just hang in there. You are working really hard. Like you said, things will slow down. Physical work is very demanding. You and I both are doing something we have never done before. It will get better. Your babies will be happy with a hug and a kiss. Throw one at the OH too! They know they are loved. You are doing what makes your heart happy. Just take care of yourself. Everyday is a new day! Love you lots!!!
Hang in there girl- horses are a lifestyle and not a job ;) We'll all still be here when you get things to settle down, have no fear!
Enjoy the job of your dreams. We will be here when you return.
Don't worry about blogging or commenting. Enjoy your new job, settle, in, but most important - find quality time for you animals and your OH. That is where it is at. Your blogger friends will be here, because you can "tell" us and we understand. Your sweet animals need you to love them up - not "work" with them as much as a daily focused hug or kiss does wonders!
I totally understand. Things are so super crazy right now for me too. And I am not even really getting laundry done! Haha! I did manage to get the dishes done, now if I could find the dead mouse in my laundry room I would me in business!
Take a break and i hope you get to play with your animals soon.
Do what needs to be done; everything else can wait. Your OH, horses, dogs, and all the rest are there for you, always loving you. God bless!
I don't know about you, but this time change has really taken a bite out of my free time. The things I like to do are outside, but it is dark when I get home. Then my psyche tells me its dark, it must be bedtime & I have no ambition for anything else. How many day until the winter solstice and we can start getting our daylight back?
Good luck with the new job. Pretty stallion!
Gosh I know how you feel. I wish I could leave my regular job and just spend all my time with my horses and doing the things I like to do!
My Mom always told me to prioritize whats important and do those things first...I totally think that applies here. Good luck with being so busy...I know how it feels.
Hey girlie. I was stopping by your blog to say the same thing--I've been swamped! I was wanting to apologize for not visiting you. The pumpkin stand really got me behind. I am working hard to get unburied, but reading other blogs has taken a hit.
I'm excited to go back and hear about your new job. Sounds like a perfect one for you. Congratulations.
Definitely don't worry about us! Having the job of your dreams has it's price to pay. Missing your own critters is one of the biggest issues for me. It'll all level out for you. Hang in there!
Hang in there girl, you will find your stride. As for blogging , we will still be here when you catch your breath, I do miss your comments , but you have to take care of your stuff first
Personally, I think you've been doing a great job of visiting sites with everything else going on in your life. You have a pretty full plate, Paint Girl. Enjoy the important things, and we'll still be here when you get back!
It sounds like you're being run ragged! I bet you're exhausted. I hope you are still loving it though! Enjoy your break, we all need one!
I bet they miss you just as much :-)
Girl-when I was training in a BNT barn, I had NO outside life. It's just the way it is. It will take a couple of months but you will get used to the long hours, can't say you still won't be tired...let's face it working with horses ALL DAY is going to wear a person out.
I had to chuckle at the "doing laundry like a construction worker" comment, LOL! :) Well, if you're working this hard and this many hours.....at least you LOVE this job! I think once the trainers are back you will have more focused work and it will get easier, since right now you are doing so much beyond what you would normally do! Hang in there! I haven't been posting as much either, once a twice a week tops for me! xo
Any change is hard and takes much morse effort than we realize. Just stay healthy and the rest will fall into place for you...like I hope it will for me!!!
It can be hard to fit everything in when you work full time, especially if you are totally unorganized like me!! Oh well, I'm going to do what I love best first!!When you get as old as me somethings like housework, etc. just don't seem as important!!
I've always thought that it would be nice if people could just put in a six-hour workday and have that be the end of it. In fact, if employers would hire people in shifts instead of making one person work 10 to 16-hours straight, there would be a lot less unemployment in this country. But the employers don't want to have to pay for anymore health insurance than they have to, which is another reason why we need to get medical costs under control. Anyway, I know how you are feeling. I'm constantly stressing out over whether I'm going to simply get a bathroom break or not.
How would you like to be almost 50 and starting this job!? You're young!! Every day I have to remind myself that working with six horses is the dream I wanted and now that I've got it but it can be very exhausting!! Hard work is good for you but don't neglect pampering yourself or your own horses while doing it. If you're not taking care of yourself (not saying you aren't, it can just sneak up before you know it), you won't be of value to anyone else. Sounds selfish but it's not!! Do you have a friend that gives massages? GET ONE regularly until the hard time passes...best thing for manual labor and peace of mind! I used to feel guilty for investing in myself/health but not anymore! You're worth it! That stallion is beautiful....and we'll miss you. Take care! Luanne
Take care of yourself and don't worry about the housework:)
will miss you paint girl as i love your posts! but take care of yourself, we will all be here waiting for your return. i am glad you have a job, that is so important that you are bringing money 'to the table'. your babies will understand!
It does get to be too much some times. I'm just playing catch up myself. Focus on the most important stuff first and know that all your blogger buddies are rooting for ya! And I am totally with Jennifer, forget the housework!
I miss you Paint Girl but I can understand and relate :)
Try to find a few minutes for yourself and hang in there til things smooth out.
We DO miss you for sure!!! But I am so excited for the journey your on!!! I do hope you get a break soon though, you really need all of that time with your OH and all of your animals!!! Good luck!!
Do what ya gotta do, looking forward to your return.
I feel as though I am in the same boat! I understand completely!
slow down to go faster
peace and shalom

I think that your new job sounds like it is just the bomb!!! Take as much time as you need. Those of us in blogland understand that blogging does not come first when life is busy. :)
Happens to all of us! Life gets hectic for awhile, then it slows down or we get in a groove. I've had a hard time getting around to visit since I've been back to working full-time again. It's hard to get everything done that needs done when you work full-time!! Since I work 1st shift and hubby works 2nd, we're in the same situation as you - we don't get to see each other much during the week. Thank goodness for the weekend!
Take care of you, and look forward to having you back. :)
