My Life Will Be So Much Easier.....

We just had to do it. With all the rain we get, which creates an awful lot of mud around here, and 3 pasture's that need some serious drainage work, my wonderful OH bought me a couple new toys to make our lives easier.... And we could not contain our excitement when the delivery guy backed into our driveway with our new New Holland Boomer 30 tractor and a matching New Holland Rustler 4 x 4 UTV!!

I have had about enough with pushing a wheelbarrow through the rain, mud, snow and up a hill to feed my horses. Now all I have to do is fill up the bed, which is also a hydraulic dump bed, and load it up with hay and grain, and cruise out to feed. It is also 4 wheel drive, so in case we have a foot of snow, which does happen every couple years, or a ton of mud, I can go about anywhere. Not will it only make our life easier for us to feed, but I can use it to do yard work, and drag my arena. We ordered the hitch and the hard canopy cover, since it does rain so much around here. It has rained pretty much all this week, and we have noticed that once you get out to throw hay and then go to get back in, the seat is all wet, which means a wet butt. I can't have a wet butt. Just not gonna happen. Those parts should be here next week and the tractor store will come install them for us. Oh I am going to have so much fun with this!!!

Now I think my OH is a little more excited about the tractor. We have a lot of projects to do around here, and this is going to help a lot. I also enjoy cruising around on a tractor, and it is a ton of fun. We have an old International tractor, that isn't 4 wheel drive, but it hasn't been running for a few years. We are going to fix it up, sell it and then buy the backhoe for the tractor. We already have a rake and back blade. I can already see there will be some fighting over the keys, not just to the tractor, but to the UTV as well.

I told my OH that I get the tractor M-F and he can have it on the weekends. We share the UTV daily, he feeds in the morning and I feed in the evening. So we shouldn't have too many arguments over that one. Who knows, maybe I can get my OH to do more yard work now that we have the UTV!!

We have a NH Boomer too! Handy as heck :) I love the little features they've given them to make them more user friendly.

Pie wants to buy the NH UTV sometime, hopefully in the not too distant future ;)

Did they only come in blue? Just curious~ but hey, in your green woodland blue is great cuz you can't lose sight of it! ;-) Can't wait to see you driving it! I've driven a back hoe a little bit....you know I have a bit of a phobia of tractors ever since I was a little girl, LOL! Not driving them, but being on the ground while they are working near me!

Sis, the color of tractors will tell you what brand it is. NH is blue, John Deere is green and yellow, Mahindra is red, Kubota is orange and so on and so on.
I never knew you had a fear of tractors!

Ooooohhhhh....NEW TOYS!!

LOVE them!!

I tell ya...I think the best purchase my hubby has ever made was our bobcat. That thing has made my life so much easier.

Projects are just way more fun when you have equipment. Enjoy!!

How exciting! I think a tractor is essential for anything horse related. We have lots of tractors around here but they are all big, which works but sooo big. And last winter hubby bought a Bobcat RTV and he uses is everyday, so much handier than he imagined!

You're spoiled, Paint Girl! Making all of us jealous. We have the tractor, but I sure would love the little Rustler! It would make cleaning stalls easier, too.
