Not A Whole Heckuva Lot Going On

I haven't been able to do a whole lot around here the last 3 days. It has rained pretty darn hard. I have been stuck inside cleaning, cleaning and cleaning. At least I have a clean house. Although I do have a busy weekend planned. Tonight we are going out to dinner with friends and then we are going to go check out the new Cabella's that just opened. I am very excited for that. I have not been into a Cabella's yet. The closest one we had was at least a 2 hour drive. Now it's a 15 minute drive. I am sure we will end up buying an item or two. I have been eying a cute pink hooded sweatshirt!!

Tomorrow my sister is coming for a visit. I haven't seen her since Christmas, so it will be nice to see her. We have somewhere to be (can't say where that "somewhere" is yet) in the early afternoon. But before we go to our "somewhere", the crazy Aussie's are getting dropped off at the groomer. Sadie started going to the groomer in February. Her hair coat is just crazy. It's very long and she has a really thick undercoat. Everything sticks to her and she is always a mess. Her first groomer appt. was in February and it went really good (according to my OH, I was in Scottsdale). I was extremely concerned especially with her severe social anxiety and insecurity issues. I was a nervous mom from afar and was hoping that my girl would be kind to the groomers. We did tell the groomers about her issues and there could be potential growling and possible biting (she has NEVER bitten anyone, but I did not want to send my dog somewhere without them knowing that in a certain situation she potentially could bite). When my OH picked Sadie up, they said she was a VERY good girl and could go back anytime. Whew! All they did was remove some mats and trimmed her hair coat to a manageable length. So she is going back for the same trim, and Bailey is going for his first ever groomer appt. He will just get trimmed a little bit. His hair coat is a lot more manageable then Sadie's. And of course they will get baths!

Anyways once we get back from our "somewhere", I am going to get Chance out for my sister. I am very excited for her to see Chance and how far she has come. I think she will be very impressed. I'm not planning on riding her for my sister, but will show her where we are in bitting and long lining. For those of you that did not read my post on Chance's first ride, click here

One more update....the massage therapy is starting to work on my neck!! I woke up yesterday and my neck felt the best that it has felt in 4 months!! I still have pain, but it is definitely decreasing!! I have had 4 massage therapy appointments and I will keep going until the pain is gone. Big sigh of relief...........

Glad to hear the massage is working! I had them work on my shoulder and the difference is amazing.

Will be nice to have your sister out again and am curious about this "somewhere" you are going to.

First off yay for the MT working! That is huge :) You may need to always go for maintenance, but hey its better than the alternative.

You have a Cabella's opening? Ours is going to open soon too! And I've also never been to one. Really looking forward to it, I saw a sneak peek on the news and it look like quite a store :)

It must be strange to not see your sister very often any more, but it sounds like you've got a great visit planned.

So glad to hear you're feeling better...got to be miserable with constant pain like that.

Red is my first Aussie...and yes, what a challenge to keep the boy clean and mat free!!! I get to be the groomer though ;~)

Enjoy your time with your sis...great fun!

Glad the massage therapy is working out. Hmmm...maybe I should go. I work for a dog groomer and it is very much appreciated when owners drop off their dogs and if it is a first timer to let us know if there is any problems to be on the look out for.

That dog doesn't need a bath or to go to the groomers - not dirty at all! lol Nice to hear that the groomer did ok with them - must be a bit of a relief for you...

I hope you have a wonderful visit with your sister - we need an update and some pics next week! Enjoy the Cabela's trip - I've never been to one, but it sounds like a fun (dangerous!) store!

Ha! Sadie, Sadie, Sadie....Maybe you're feeling better just being retired? Funny how that makes one feel much better! Every days a good day!

Glad you're feeling better. I wish we sent our dogs to the groomer. Jax is kind of a pain to bathe because he leaves dog hair everywhere and giving Hollie a bath is difficult because Jax stands outside the door and howls the whole time. I guess he thinks I'm going to drown her!

Yay for Cabella's!! That's so awesome. :D

Eww gross doggy lol. If Storm got that nasty I would probably have a heart attack hehe.

I can't wait to read about your sister's visit. :D

Yay I'm so excited about the massage!! Now your hubby needs to learn some of the techniques so that when the pain is gone he can do maintenance work for you lol.
