I grew up with horses, my whole young life revolved around them. I went 12 years without horses in my life. During that time I always knew I wanted to own horses again, it just took longer than I realized it would for me to re-enter the world of horses.
5 years ago my dream came true. I was given a very greenbroke 8 yr old 1/2 Arab 1/2 Paint mare. Was I ready to take in such an insecure, nearly unbroke horse, especially since I hadn't owned a horse in 12 yrs? You will hear alot of stories about the ups and downs we have been through since Brandy came into my life.
3 years ago my boyfriend of 15 years decided he'd like to join the horse world, how lucky am I? Does this ever happen? He's as non-horsey as they can get! Although he did tell me "It will really be your horse, I just want to ride it whenever I want!" I will never forget those words! A few months later, Fritzy came into our lives. A greenbroke 7 yr old Paint mare. Now why would we buy a greenbroke horse for a beginner? You will find out soon!
You will also get to know 2 crazy Australian Shepherds. Bailey is my almost 3 yr old black tri, he is the most amazing, perfect dog I could ever ask for!

Sadie is my 1 1/2 year old blue merle who is quite a challenge. She is socially anxious, very insecure, very protective of me and I am bound and determined to do what I can do to get her to adjust to a normal dog life.
I also have 5 cats, one who is worth a million dollars, in my eyes! You will hear the amazing story of the survival of that million dollar cat and let us not forget those 4 adorable goats!I can't wait to share my goofy, sometimes serious and downright crazy adventures that happen on the Painted Creek Farm!

Are you freaking out yet? :) See you tomorrow! xo
wow... welcome to public blogging! I tried to click on your blog before, from Ponygirl, but it was private.
So happy we will now get to read about live on your farm. Yippee!!
Your animals are all adorable. Will be such fun to get to know everyone. :o)
Congratulations!! :o)
Ok that's it. I'm bookmarking and I NEED to know about this cat. (mine is priceless, so I may understand already.)
Found you through your sister, Pony Girl. I've got 3 sisters, so I'm on board with the sisterhood thing for sure. Blog on Sister!!!
Yay! Glad you joined up! And look at you, starting out with this fancy page and music to boot! I love it! Looking forward to hearing your stories! :)
Ah ha! Now I have a fun new page layout thanks to you! See how much your public presence is already helping the blogging community?! ;) Thanks!

Welcome Paint girl!
Welcome, welcome, welcome!!!! I am so glad that you finally joined us. Will you still be keeping a private blog as well?
Sadie sounds so much like my Jinxy that it isn't even funny. How have the dog behavioral techniques been working? I suppose I should just shut up and let you post, eh??? LOL!!! :)
Hi Melanie, I will do a post eventually on Sadie's progress but I will give you a hint: we have had ups and downs. We are in down mode right now. It's so much work!
Thanks for coming over!
Welcome aboard! Glad to have you in the blog-world....I absolutely LOVE your crew of critters!! I am jealous that your goats have horns! The people we got out goats from removed their horns...we have always wished they had not. Anyway, it is going to be intersting to read your posts - I am at www.horsetalkindiana.blogspot.com. Looking forward to getting to know you!
Most excellent - another sister combination out there riding the blog wave together!!! Mine is jeanieinparadise and she is NOT horsey at all, but funny and witty and a darned fine poet. WE did a little tag-post the other day which was kinda fun (although not for my Ma, but that's another story!!)
Love your site's look...
Have fun!
BB
Was it as painful as you thought cousin Paint girl? Have fun with all your new blogger friends you'll meet!
I have been looking forward to you taking this big step! I love the look of your page. Cute pix of the goats - but my fav is the one of you on Fritzy - you look so collected.
I know everyone is going to love this Pony Cousin!
Hi just popped in from Pony Girl's blog to say welcome to the open blogger world LOL!! I can't wait to hear more!!!
Hi Paint Girl! Followed over from your sister's. It's so cool to find an entire family into horsemanship and blogging combined! Loved the animals, Bailye is just too cute and the love in his eyes says it all!
Over at our end, we too have our Azawakh version of Sadie which we inherited with our house. He too is sooo much work and does best when I keep to a police-like attitude with clear orders and not too much compliments, as they go right to his head and make him possessive and aggressive. By the time we got our hands on him, he had pretty much bitten every visitor who made the mistake of reaching out to greet him. Since in our care, he's snapped in the air three times and bitten once, which despite not sounding good is still progress. Our Rhodesian ridgeback girl from Sweden (8 months old now) is an angel, and her humour adds up for all of Dennis' flaws! Looking forward to following your herd!
Warm greetings from West Africa,
Esther
Welcome to the blogosphere! I'm so glad you decided to go public. I can't wait to hear the adventures. And maybe now I'll finally get to see Fritzi in her new bridle and reins, eh?
Oh yay! Daisy can't wait to see more pictures of the beautiful Fritzy :) Welcome to the public blogging world!
Sue and the gang at Dream Valley Ranch :)
I am glad to see you finally took the plunge! Hop over to mine sometime.
Yay! Glad you've gone public! Now I get to see what this mysterious Paint Girl who reads my blog is all about! ;)
I'm dropping by from A&MD Ranche's blog to say hi....Welcome to the public blogging world :)
I am so thrilled that you're public now. You've been visiting my blog for a while and leaving me the nicest comments....and everytime I tried to visit you and do the same.....blocked. bummer. :(
But here you are!
And it wasn't all that painful was it? You've made tons of blog friends over the past year and everyone is so welcoming and glad you're letting us visit you, too.
I am very much looking forward to learning more about you, your OH and all your critters.
((HUGS))
