My princess, Sadie, has a special day today. It is her 2nd Birthday! Woohoo! We celebrated her Birthday the other day. Bailey and I drove all over town, looking for pink bandana's. I can't seem to find the 2 pink ones I had. All the pretty colors were sold out everywhere, since it was in the upper 80's. But I did find a lavendar one. So I rushed home and put the brand new bandana on Sadie.

Well, lets just say, the bandana didn't stay new for long. Before you know it, Sadie is in the pond, well, what's left of it, and than she jumps out and looks for the closest dirt pile to dig and roll in. Sadie, you have a problem staying clean, seriously!

Here she rolls in the dirt. So much for her new bandana!

Than Sadie went for swim number two. You know what that means, right? Another dirt roll. How did I get so lucky to have a dog that craves water, mud and dirt? She starts out by digging in the one and only dirt patch in my lawn, which needs to be mowed. I am slacking on my lawn mowing duties, yikes!

She than proceeds to make a rooster tail.

She runs around acting like a wild, crazy Aussie, I mean really, crazy Aussie? Who would have thought that! Than she lays back down in the dirt, probably to roll again.

Yep. I knew another roll was coming!

Rub it all in Silly! Get your new lavendar bandana nice and dirty, why don't ya!

I bet she is doing this on purpose. She knows she is sporting a new bandana, so why not get it broken in? It needs dirt, mud, pond slime, and maybe even a hole or two!

Oh yes, this is one proud face of a very happy dog.

Sadie goes for round three in the pond. Yep, round three. Our pond is a 3 tiered pond. There is an upper level, a middle level and a lower level. With the unseasonably warm weather we are having, the upper and middle levels are now down to pond goo. Yep, pond goo. Knee deep, green goo. This is where Sadie goes next. She scoots around in the goo and pushes her face in it. She comes out. Sadie! What are you wearing? Introducing Sadie, with "the stick balancing on the head" act! And look at her new bandana! I would have to say she broke it in quite well. Maybe a little too well?

Yep, that is a stick balancing on her head. I have no idea how I ended up with the dirtiest dog ever!

Sadie's legs are white. Well, they were white at one time. So much for coming in the house tonight!

Sadie decides she now needs to roll in the horseshoe pit, while a horseshoe game is in progress! Sadie! Not a safe place to be! But I don't think she really cares.

Yep. This is the "I don't care" look! Or the "Go play horseshoes somewhere else, this is my sandbox!" look.

Come on Sadie, we need to get our game going again!

Fine, be that way! Stick your tongue out at me all you want! Just because it's your Birthday, doesn't mean you can get everything you want!

And to think she use to be this cute! What were we thinking! Actually by looking at her face here, I should have known I'd end up with a little dirt monster!
Happy 2nd Birthday, my little Super Silly! Stay tuned for part two. Yep, there is a part two!

How funny is your dog....I had a good chuckle at those photos
Looks like a great birthday for a dog! Hope she moved out of the way before a horseshoe conked her head!! She sure is cute. She is even cute when she is messy! I love that you were looking for a pink bandana! Lilly has quite a few of those--she would have been happy to make a donation! Hope Sadie lives forever! Happy Birthday, Sadie!!
sadie is sooo cute! i would die if my doggies did that! happy birthday sadie! nugget likes to get under the bushes resulting in 'dirt paws' but that is it...maybe i should get them a kiddie pool. thanks for your comments about the cows, you probably are right about them getting up with their knees, etc. grampie's cows had a big barn to go into so maybe that is why they didn't have those sores? who knows...looking forward to part 2 sadie!!
Oh man, is she dirty! Wow! I thought my lab was good at getting dirty, but with his short hair, he is easy-ish to clean.
That picture of Sadie as a puppy is adorable. And those rolling in the dirt pictures!! They are great with the dust flying everywhere.
Sadie is a doll! You know that is a doggy rule, if you're clean, do everything possible to change that.
Happy birthday Sadie!!
Do you think maybe she has a skin condition that makes her itch and causes the dirt/mud/slime/pond water urges?
Thanks for taking the "Virtual Trail Ride" with us--I'll be watching for you on the trails now!
Sadie: great job on fixing the cleanness. Good dog! >g<

Happy Birthday Sadie! Roll if ya want to... :)
Sadie Happy Birthday !
She looks like a fun dog to have!
You know sometimes in your pictures when she is rolling around she looks the end of one of those duster mops - you know the ones that are synthetic fuzz? Anyway I thought it was funny cause I use one of those things and it make me think "Hey that's my duster!"
That is just too funny! Well, it was a pretty lavendar kerchief at one time! I guess since it was her birthday she was entitled to swim and roll as much as she wanted!!!
Happy Birthday to a dog.... I'm glad people like you remember fun things like that....I'm lucky to rember happy birthday to me, LOL!
Toss her a cookie for me.
Sadie, your puppy picture is adorable, and the first rolling photo is a hoot ! Happy Birthday!
Happy Birthday Sadie!! Does she get a special meal??
Oh. My. Goodness. Wow. That is just too funny! I thought Cheyanne was bad! lol And where would you ever get the idea of a CRAZY Aussie? They are *perfectly* sane! Yaaaa....that's it. ;) Thanks for sharing!
Silly Sadie! Ya gotta love the happy, proud look on her face!
Om my goodness!!! Sadie sure knows how to have a good time, doesn't she??? LOL!!!
Happy Birthday to Sadie ! I try to pick up pink bandanas when I go to Walmart. My Sarah tears them up if I leave them on too long.
She is priceless! How great that you caught this on camera. Do you haul yours around everywhere now too? Happy Birthday Miss Sadie Lady!
Sadie cracks me up, especially the picture with the grass sticking to her! Happy bday Sadie!
Happy Birthday Sadie Girl! Unbelievable she can get so dirty!!!
What a great post. I laughed out loud at your first pic of her rolling, just a blurry ole ball of fur. :-D Aussies sure can be a ton of entertainment, can't they? Sadie sure is!
Ringo would enjoy showing her our pond goo. Yep, we have some of it too. He likes it too, in his lab sort of way. I drew the line at the girls going in the pond goo - because like you said, then it's outside for the night!
Oh the steer pot -- I think hubby got it at Atwood's? a month or two ago.
I didn't know that Aussies loved water that much. Does she have webbed feet and is part muddy duck? lol! She sure was a cute puppy.
Happy Birthday Sadie!!
