I went out to the garage last night to put Bailey back in from going to the bathroom. As I go down the steps, I see this dark clump of something on the floor. It looked odd. Sadie looked at it like it was odd, see, I am not going crazy if my dog looks at something that might seem odd too! I ignore it for a second, than my cat Simba proceeded to hightail it to this odd thing. Now I am really wondering what the heck is going on. Since I have this huge fear of snakes and spiders, I was pretty sure it wasn't one of those, because if it was I would have ran the other way, straight back into the house! I head over to this odd thing. It jumps! What the heck! What is jumping in my garage?
Now, Sadie and Simba are so interested in what this jumping thing is. Simba is on top of it, Sadie starts to go for it, than I realize what it is, it's a frog! Stop! Don't hurt the frog! Do I have my camera? NO! Now I wonder who brought the frog into my garage?
Aha! Siiiimmmbbbaaaa!?! What are you doing? This is not the first time she has done this, the last time she did this she brought a frog into the house! I love frogs, so I picked it up and took it back outside and released it. I am just so thankful it wasn't a snake!

Ok, now on to another dilemma, I sure do have alot of dilemmas, don't I? I have a problem. I have really long legs. I have the worst time finding jeans to fit my loooonnnng legs! You see, my real problem is, I am 5'5" tall and only weigh 104 lbs. But I have extremely long legs. I have to buy jeans from the junior dept and I wear a size one. The problem is, when I find a pair that fits my butt and hips, they don't fit in length. If I find a brand that comes in a long length, the style doesn't fit my butt or hips. Does any of this make sense? So therefore, I have a BIG problem. I have the worst time finding jeans to fit in the butt, hips and in length!

I have tried so many brands and the best ones I have found that fit are usually department store brands, believe it or not. My sister and I have gone on so many jean shopping trips, I have lost count. We've been to a couple local tack stores and I have tried on every pair that comes in my skinny waist size and they don't fit, but they come in a long length! I have tried every pair of Cruel Girls and Wranglers! No luck. These 2 brands absolutely do not fit my butt and hips! But I just love how long they are!
This is what happens when I ride. This pair of jeans is actually a long length. Maybe I need an extra long length? I hate looking like I have highwaters on! I know jeans ride up while riding but I swear I could wear a 36" inseam and this would still happen! Are my legs really that long?
I can't order jeans out of a catalog. I have to try them on. When I find a pair I like, I make sure I buy at least 2 pairs! Usually one pair for riding and one pair for when I wear my cowboy boots, but am not doing anything horsey, well maybe, I could be going to watch a horse show or to a rodeo, but I still need the length when wearing my cowboy boots!
I am sure I'm not the only one with this problem! I know my sis doesn't have this problem, actually jeans look so cute on her! She has short legs, well, she is alot shorter than me, and her butt is a little bit bigger than mine, so she fits into jeans better in that area. Sorry sis, but it's true! And I really mean it when I say jeans look so cute on you!
Does anyone out there have a similiar situation with a little butt and long legs? What brand of jeans have you tried? What works, what doesn't? Maybe there is a brand out there I haven't heard of? Any input would be great! Maybe I can find that perfect pair of jeans someday!?!
Oh yeah, one more thing, it's Fritzy's birthday today! The big 10!

Sorry Paint Girl I can't help you on in the jeans department - I have loads of hips to mine and whenever they start to find a slightly petitish size, people complain about my weight and say that I look as if I'm starving. Hmm.
Is there any place you could have jeans custom-made? I know it's more expensive, but would maybe save up in time?
A big happy birthday to Fritzy! Our Isolde is eight months today. I'd better get her post up! :-)
Greetings from Africa!

Happy Birthday Fritzy!!! OK so yes I have your problem LOL!! Except for I wear like a 5/6 and I need a 36" inseam (i used to be able to find 38" but they don't seem to make them anymore) but most brands don't carry them that long...Well they may but I too have NO butt which absolutely stinks!! Not literally though LOL!! Now the brand that I have found that really works well for me is "Miss Me" they fit great and they have longer inseam sizes. The other great thing is that most of the ones they make have a flap pocket which actually enhances your butt like you have one :) Now I am supposed to be a dealer for them to put in my store but I haven't gotten everything ironed out with them...They are a bit difficult to deal with. Now the other brand that I wear and carry is Cowgirl Tuff. I put this line in my store because I love the clothing!!! I have been wearing their clothes for about 3 years now and I love it!! The jeans can be tricky, it depends on the style if they have longer inseam or not. The ones that I bought and love are the "Cowgirl Tuff Rodeo" style. They fit me great, I haven't ordered a ton of jeans yet for my store but check them out if you have a local dealer for styles and sizes cause they are pretty good jeans!!
Aww, Happy Birthday to Fritzy, you beautiful, gorgeous animal you! As far as the jeans go, I am no help. I pretty much have the exact opposite problem. I am 5'2" and have short legs and big thighs lol. If my pants fit my thighs, the waist is usually way to big. Short lengths are usually too short and longs waaay too long. The regular lengths are too long right now because I am wearing a couple sizes bigger since having my son. But believe it or not, I own a pair of Wranglers that are size 1! Ack! I WISH I could wear those again! They pretty much fit me perfectly (sorry lol). The only jeans that have been consistent on me are American Eagle jeans. Not sure if you have AE stores out there, but they do come in skinny I think. I used to be able to wear a size 0 in their clothes tho, so I think they run a bit large! Wow, I am realizing how much more weight I still need to lose...BAH! Goodluck finding some jeans!
Have you ever thought about mens jeans? When I was in high school I did't have any hips at all, and I'm 5'10". So I started buying mens jeans, I was able to get the correct waist size and the correct inseam leangth. I found that Levi brands fit me the best. Hope this helps.

I have your exact problem. Too much leg, no butt to fill em.
I get cheap jeans for the barn at steve and barrys when I venture over the border to the US of A. But then my butt looks saggy. Good thing the horses don't care and theres no cute cowboys within viewing distance.
Try old navy. I can almost always find a pair of jeans there. They have ones with long legs and short legs and big waists and low waists.
paint girl, the frog story made me laugh and the jeans story made me cry...just kidding! maybe the levi advice will help...
Jeans are a dilema for me too ,I have a round body , but NO BUT and slim thights long legs ,so if things fit in the hips the waist is too tight and isf the waist fits...
I like the wrangler Q-baby, Aura they have a little bit of lycra to forgive some fit problems and they come in long lenths
I think you inherited your shape from your mom! I find I need to go to jr jeans. Otherwise they are way to big in the butt and hip since I have skinny legs. I don't stick to any brand, just if they fit.
Have you tried Aura jeans from Wrangler? You're supposed to be able to pick your size, length, fit, etc.. We have a whole section of them in our local Boot Barn.
I don't like them for riding because the pair I have ride up, like you were talking about. But maybe they'd work for you?
I'm in love with Wranglers new "Q-Baby Ultimate Riding Jean." They really are super comfortable to ride in, but I don't know if you can pick everything like you can with Aura(?).
Good luck!
Hey Cousin Paint Girl,
As you know, I'm a shortie like your sister. I have the opposite problem. Jeans fit everywhere but the legs are too long. I guess everyone has their problem areas, and yes your sister always looks good in jeans( speaking as a semi-tooshless gal), I'm just glad I get her hand me downs!
I hate the jeans riding up while riding thing! Drives me nuts! My biggest pet peeve is going thru pictures of me riding and all I see are high waters! GRR!
I am 5'2" and 103-ish. I don't have such a long leg issue, but I do have a pair of Wranglers with a 36" inseam just so they don't ride up when I'm riding!
Generally I wear American Eagle jeans, they are super comfy and have all different fits, rise's and lengths. Plus they are reasonably priced ($30-50). They don't ride up all that much if I happen to end up on a horse in them either.
For showing/riding my new absolute fave pair of jeans are the Wrangler Q Baby Ultimate Riding Jeans. Oh my goodness...best jeans EVER! I believe they are relatively new so if you haven't tried jeans on in a while you might want to give Wrangler another try.
I really have a hard time finding jeans that fit my waist, hips and thighs, but these are just heavenly, look great while I'm riding and stack on my boots nicely when I'm not horseback!
Good luck! And happy birthday Fitzy!
Sorry no advice on the jeans issue. But I did want to say that you look much taller in your pics... must be those long legs!
Sometimes my jeans tend to ride up a bit when I ride too. I think that on those days maybe my leg position isn't so great?
Happy b-day Fritzmeister! :)
I wish I had your problem -- mine is that if they fit my huge thighs and fat ass, then they are too big in the waist!! Have you tried boys/men's??? I think teenage boys are long legged and thin....perhaps they make jeans for them like that....
Love the frog story. Funny how cats will hunt just about anything!!
CGTCG- I love Cowgirl Tuff, all the tanks, sweatshirts fit me very well but no one carries the jeans. I have gotten on their website to try to locate a local store that carries jeans, with no luck. I'll have to keep searching.
Stephanie- About 15 years ago I used to wear mens jeans, I am so darn picky now that I don't think I'd like how they fit! Maybe I'll give it another try...sigh.
What a great frog story! We had a frog living on one of our pictures inside the front door for a while. At least I think, cause he was super skiny by the time we found him and returned him to his rightful place outside.
I'm with ya on the trouble finding decent fitting jeans. When I think I have the perfect one, they end up being shorter than I thought they were in the store or strech in the wasit, which is a problem because I have no hips, thus lots of pulling jeans up ALL day long. Belts don't work either...sigh. Good luck on your search and when you find some, buy the whole store's stock! ;)
You should check out what kind of jeans Mama H
from the Holman Homestead wears...Her Nick name is The evil long legged cowgirl!!! LOL I follow her blog, you can check her out!
Jeepers! You look so cute, though!
I've got the long leg issue, but not the small butt problem! lol! I'm ust shy of 6' tall so I do wear a size 36" inseam. My problem is finding jeans for a skinny waist. I suppose you could call me curvy. My hips and butt are wide, and my thighs are meaty, but my waist is slim. So jeans tend to bulge out around my waist even if they fit my butt just fine.
It must be so nice to be able to just order jeans online, or walk into a store and be able to find jeans that fit right off. sigh.
Happy Birthday Fritzy!!!
~Lisa
Sorry, there is nothing little about my butt. Now my legs--they are quite long. I'm almost 5'11". Big ol' woman.
Skinny girl with curly hair--too cute. I love it. :)
