I would like to share a little something about my mom. I will never forget when I was young, that my mom sacrificed alot, just so I could have a horse in my life. She did everything she could, to make it possible that I could have horses, ride horses, show horses and above all else, love horses.
What amazes me about my mom, is that she now owns a horse. What?!? This isn't the mom I knew 20 plus years ago! She was so scared of horses, yet, she always supported me in whatever I did with them. Now, I am so proud of my mom and what she has accomplished in a short amount of time, with her beloved Dusty! Her journey with horses has only just started and I know she will have many more to come!
Happy Mother's Day mom!

What a nice tribute to your Mom!!!
That makes you a good girl!
Your mother is so cool! Did she come from a family of horses, or did you girls set off the trend in the first place? She seems like the natural cowgirl. Love the two last pictures of her and her beautiful Dusty!
Nice post , You mom sounds like a wonderful Lady
that's nice! i am glad you entire family loves horses...so many families are not that way and not understand the horse lover...you are very lucky!
It is pretty amazing, isn't it? I guess it doesn't matter when your journey starts, it what you make of it when you start down the road! ;) We were pretty lucky to have ponies and horses in our lives....a lot of little girls just dream about it.
Thank you for such a lovely post. I LOVE you!
Great pictures! You are lucky to have a horsey family, I am the only one in my family who is horse crazy, the rest of them all think "I'm" crazy!!!

I was blessed with a pony at 6 and horses until I finally sold my last one when I was 17. My husband was terrified of horses until he got used to being around them. Why just last week he actually picked up the gelding's leg to check and see if he has lost a shoe. This is HUGE for Joe. I have seen him run out of a barn (years ago, not our barn) when a horse was brought out of his stable. To be fair he was a 16 hand stallion that was about to be bred and even his owner had trouble handling him. But he has come so far. He refers to the horses as "his" when he is talking to friends. This makes me happy.
Happy Mother's Day to your wonderful Mama. She is a dandy.
Happy Mother's Day Cousin Paint Girl!!!
Thanks for sharing. Happy Mom's day to yours!
Your mom is great, she is so cool to venture out and do something she was afraid of a few years ago. You girls are lucky to have her for a Mom, and she is blessed to have you. I like hearing from her!
oving tribute to a loving mother!!!
what a sweet post each of you had for Mother's day. Your mom's poem to you girls had me in tears. I would have told her, but don't know how to post if it doesn't have "name" option. LOL!
I love that so many in your family enjoy horses. What a fun hobby/passion to share together!!

Esther- my mom had grown up with family that had horses, but she was not one that rode. When my sis and I were young, we got into horses until we graduated high school, than had a long period of time where we did "other" things without horses. My mom decided a couple years ago she wanted to take lessons, than she bought her first horse! We are very lucky to have so many family members that are into horses, and even the ones that don't own them, have taken an interest! It is absolutely wonderful to share the life of horses with almmost the whole family!
I love that last picture of your mom. She's a beauty. :)
